Default How do i break up a glasspack?

A while back i had dual glasspacks put on my truck and i still have one cat. My problem is that the truck is not loud at all and has no real tone, its basically stock sounding but louder. So the question is: how do i go about getting the fiberglass out of the glasspack? (preferably not by taking it off of the truck)

my dad has told me that back in his day people who had glasspacks put the water hose down the exhaust pipe and put a little water in and then fire up the cars and it would burn out the fiberglass. i have heard many people do this and they say it works.

that may work. what we used to do was get the glasspack hot then put water on it and in it..whileengine is running .that broke up all the insides and would blow them out...took a couple of times...but worked.

i have done this.... get pipes hot... turn truck off and run water in the pipe to fill the glasspack up .. dont take alot of water ... then hit glasspack w/ rubber mallet ... then crank truck back up and watch the water fly out ...might take a couple of time to get it all broken up
