does taking the fan blades off give you more power?
just wonderin if i took off the blades on my clutch fan if thatd help with any power at all. i got dual e fans now so i dont need the clutch fan and i've heard good and bad things about underdrive pulleys. if taking the blades off doesnt really do anything then ill just leave them on just so it may help a little bit in cooling the engine

i did a body lift and i couldnt fit the stock fan shroud in anymore and i couldnt find any brackets to lower the shroud and it was overheating because i didnt have the shroud so i just bought efans and i was thinkin of leavin the stock pulley in. my buddy says that just the fan creats alot of drag on the engine so if i just took off the fan id get some power. any truth to that?

Dude...take the blades off. The whole point of isntalling E-fans is to free up some of the drag on the engine caused by the fan. The fans and underdrive pulley's should get you a good boost in HP. If you got an intake(intake mod) and tuner too you'll be set.

Enough for the job:
If the e-fans have enough capacity to keep the engine cool, then you don't need the stock fan and clutch. The power to drive the stock fan will be available as extra engine power, but you won't notice the difference. You may see a small improvement in fuel economy.

If the e- fans do the trick than by all means remove the blades...if the e-fans aren't cutting it..just remove then ..put a spacer on the clutch fan to bring it in closer to the radiator that will solve the overheat without the shroud

alright guys thanks for the input. i took the fan off and the throttle appears to be a bit more responsive than it was and it kinda feels like its running better altogether. i saved the clutch fan so that if i start to have a cooling issue i can just throw it back on
