Not sure this will be the most fuel efficient but we will see after break in.

Will post a thread and pics about my buy later, thanks for help guys
Interesting... what sold you on the 5.0?

Good luck with the truck!

Great choice!!!! You're going to love it!! As far as the fuel mileage goes, you'll be pleasantly surprised, I know I am!!!

Good choice.
I would have advised the EcoBoost instead but that's just because I'm partial to it.
I went in looking for the 5.0L and caved in on the twin turbo motor and I'm glad I did.
I average 17.5mpg on all suburbian Chicago roads, several tanks now. Zero highway.

I hope you opted for the base stereo to upgrade it later at your own personal discretion.
I've been a Sony (Video) loyalist since the 1990's but when it comes to Car or Home Audo.......not so good.

I've got the 13 FX4 in my avatar with the base 4.2" screen / stereo and it's good enough for many.
I'm putting in the Alpine X009 as soon as they finalize the bezel here any day now.
My buddy works for them in Cali, and waiting for the green light.

Sold on the 5.0L cause of the sound and the research I did said eco boost wouldn't show any better fuel eco.

I hope it gets better then my ram I'd be super bummed if not.

They only had the ruby red in a 5.0L as well so I just sprung for it

I love my 5.0. I've got a 2012 FX4 sittin on six inches of lift with 35's and I'm still getting around 13-14 mpgs. And as far as how the 5.0 sounds/can sounds...

Is that with 3.73 gears? I'm seeing those numbers right now with stock but I'd assume it would get better after break in period I hope. I do all highway driving too and I'm seeing 14-15

Yessir, still running the 3.73s from the factory. Im going to re-gear at some point but the 3.73 do just fine for the moment. Id imagine it would get better after it breaks in a little more.

Just a quick update:

Wow the touch screen interface and the voice commands all work flawless really happy with the "my sync" system or whatever they named it . Works 100% better then the one in my SRT8

I am averaging 17.5 mpg on my last 4 tanks of summer blend fuel on all Chicago suburb driving.
My avatar is my truck.......S-crew FX4 4x4 3.5L 2013.
Zero highway.

The best I ever got was 19.2 mpg hypermiling it without letting it ever go over 1500rpm......ever.
That was a 100 mile test, going back and forth to work 22 miles each way on all suburb roads.
After 100 miles, it was boring the crap out of me......so I had to romp on it more to smile.

Now winter blend fuel and winter temperaturs , that's a completely different perception......
MPG's goes into the ****ter. I was averaging 13mpg on the same drive.

However, obviously the 5.0L will suffer with winter blend fuel also......as all engines do.
But I do believe the turbo definitely does much better in the summer then the 5.0L
