Default When I order a 22'.. 5.0 or 3.5?

I have the 5.0L V8 right now and love it, but I keep hearing that the 3.5 Ecoboost is awesome for towing. I also plan on getting the HDPP. Which one would you choose? And what kind of payload would I be looking at for both (supercrew 4x4)?.

You can no longer order a '22. The order banks closed on My 13th. You will need to wait until July I think before you can place an order for a '23.

I have the 3.5 and love it. Also have it in my wife's Expedition.

I've purchased or leased 13 new Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles since 2006. With my F150s truck, I've had multiple 5.0s and multiple 3.5L EBs. The last two, I've gone with the 5.0L have would have zero regret ordering another. I do tow (7x14 tandem axle enclosed trailer), but it's not like I'm towing a week out of every month. If you tow a LOT, then think about the 3.5L EB.

Honestly, both are good engines. I just prefer the one with fewer points of failure.

Do you buy them for a business (or other people), or do you just change vehicles that often?

Can't say enough about the 3.5....don't think I'll ever go back to an NA engine.

I commute ~110 miles per day, so I can't lease. I buy, drive, then trade it in after 1-2 years. I get AZ Plan thru my dad, so that really helps. We lease the wife's vehicles, as she doesn't drive that much.
