Defective Calipers Ford F-150
Had to have the defective brake calipers rebuilt on my 2005 Ford F-150.
Had the job done by Just Brakes at a cost of $640.00. Only 39,000 miles
on the truck. The pistons were frozen and could not be retracted even
with clamps. Ford would not acknowledge that there is any problem with
brake calipers and did not offer any assistance with this problem. I am interested in knowing if anyone else has experienced problems with
defective brake calipers. I was told by Just Brakes that Ford is now
installing metal pistons rather than the plastic pistons that are in my calipers.

Of course, a place like Brake Masters is going to rape you. I have heard several stories of this type. Any time you go to a place like that they are going to act like your car is about ready to explode. Its called add on sales.
