I would say take it to a reliable independent shop. Dealer charges are some of the highest around for repairs. I use mine for warranty work, and oil changes only. Good luck.

Sorry, I thought I read 2014 F150......

$590 sounds about right for 5 hours of labor.

Not everyone has the tools, ability, time, or desire to a job like this themselves.

If you can, then by all means do, and save yourself some money.

If you can't, then by all means find a shop other than a dealer, and save yourself some money.

Unless, of course, money is no object, then go with who you like and trust no matter the cost.

Even if you went out and bought the few tools needed to do the job it would be cheaper.
