With a crew cab, heavy duty payload package and a 3.73 rear I only average on the lifetime mpg 15.1. Did you ever get the truck up to highway speed and then reset it to see what the mpgs were?

So until the PCM relearns you and it's spark plugs, fuel injectors, etc all of which have 10k miles on them your mileage will suffer. I believe it will return in time. I hope that helps some. I do feel for you as fuel is not cheap here either. $1.46/L or $5.54 a US gallon.

Flat RAPE pay you meant? Yeah man I felt that pain for 11 years, glad I got away from the dealer but to add to this a little, I have the 5.0 and had an odd shift pattern and fantastic fuel economy,....UNTIL I flashed my pcm with the latest calibration,(have my own VCMII and IDS), it fixed the trans shifting but economy dropped 2-3 mpg.

The op has a valid complaint, hoping Ford will put out a TSB or something because I would like my fuel economy back as well. If that means going back to the odd shift pattern screw it, I like the way it shifts now. OASIS shows nothing as of the last time I checked but my access ran out a few months ago.

I may reflash with as-built for the pcm just to see.

I saw that the tech did it, BUT did you do it! Are you just taking his word for it? Doesn't matter what anyone says, if didn't or can't duplicate what the tech said I would assume he was lying or stretching the truth.

2011 Ecoboost- 50,000 KM

Brakes pulsated 20KM rotors machined 32KM Rotors warped replaced with new under warranty. 50km Went to Midas for pads only they called said rotors severely pitted with rust! Can't machine them. Went to Ford Pintree Lincoln they said sorry you went someplace else nothing we can do. He tried to blame the salt on the roads ect... So I asked why after only 20,000 KM on these rotors did they fail with rust? So everyone needs to change the rotors after 20,000KM. I have now contacted Ford and awaiting their official response.

I have had the tranny re-flashed and 5th gear stays in too long for my liking. The mileage has gotten worse 16.8 Litres/100KM granted it gets better on the highway but not as good as when I purchased it. I have put in fuel injector cleaner recently to eliminate the bogging I was feeling.

I like the truck just don't feel the brakes are of great quality in fact I don't like them at all. Midas changed my rotors and pads over $500 looking to recover a portion from Ford otherwise small claims court I will go.

Of course I've done it. I can do it while going cruising down a grade and it will show 99MPG. The point is that doing it on a highway at highway speed, level grade is going to show the MPG for that instant in time. The records I supplied were complete and showed combined mileage and those numbers for each tank after the re flash were all 12-14 MPG when previous to the reflash, I was getting 15-18.

Nobody drives their truck by just having it dropped on a highway already doing 65 mph. Not to mention the numbers reported in the mileage computer are overstated by 1-1.5 MPG when compared to manual calculation of gas in, has out, and miles travelled.

But you can't go by your type of records. How do they know you were not towing or hauling a heavy load up a steep hill? They don't know your driving habits and could careless. If they take it on the highway and go 65mph and reset it and get 20 mpgs for argument sake. Then you should be able to do the same or better yet go on the test drive with them.
I know in your opinion your mpgs dropped over the past few months or so. But it could be the climate, weather conditions, tire pressure, driving habits, what your hauling or the type of fuel used ( what octane).
Also I know a few gas stations that water down their gas to make a few extra bucks. Switch gas stations for a few fill ups. If any gas station is selling bad fuel, that will kill your mpgs.

But to be worried over a difference of 2 to 4 mpgs in a heavy vehicle is nothing to worry about.
