Default Dash Air Vents

My dash vents will not spin around like all the other F-150'S that I have ridden in lately. Is there a locking mechanism that I am not aware of?

They are the factory vents. I have ridden in a coworkers truck and they are exactly like his. I have not tried to pop them out but maybe I can try that.
