!00% agreement on the debadging!!!! Bad thing though are the bloody locating pin holes, that means body work!!!

I like the idea of painting the inserts body colour, and I could do that myself.

Thanks, and nothing like the real thing eh.

But I could suggest 1,000 things you could add, but that'd also cost a lot of money Painting door and tailgate handles and mirror caps would look good. Black/dark FX heads and tails too. That'd be a good start.
It looks good though.

Thanks! Believe it or not, those inserts are the same colour code as the body. I painted them myself, and caught that the shade was a bit different to my eye as well. I've got some fender badges coming for a Platinum Limited, that I'g going to try again on. The FX, as you know, were already red, and I wonder if that may have had something to do with the slight shade difference. The ones coming are black though. Very good eye catching that!!!

Another good idea!! That would tone it down, and I agree, there's just too much chrome up there.

You guys have got me thinking, and checking the savings account!
Any thoughts on those Ion Alloys and the tires?

I would ptm the bumpers, grille, and handles put 20" black rims of some sort and put FX tail lights and the black fx projector headlights.

Huh, I wonder why they turned out like that. I painted my inserts doing pretty much the same thing and mine are spot on. And mine is white, so everything shows up in that . I did a loooot of prep and primer though with 3 or 4 color coats.

The Limiteds are my favorite, and I didn't notice that they were the trim level with just the "F150" and no XLT, FX4, etc., until after I had gotten mine. I did look at mine and my FX4 ones aren't long enough to cover all three holes if I were to cut the FX4 part off. So I wonder if the Limited ones are slightly different.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Ion Alloys! I think it would be best to just run your tires bald, then get new ones. No reason to waste a good set of tires. I'm fixin to buy 35s, and only have 8k miles on my current set, so I'm not too happy about that. I think my 10.8" wide 33s would look weird with a lift though.

OK, I redid the badges. Sprayed the chrome part with plastidip, and primed the black part with white/light gray primer. The red is colour code PQ, same as the truck body. In certain light, it still looks a shade or so different, but I think it's just the angle.
Oh yeah, the Limited badges cover all three holes.

I think it looks good and is not over chromed. For me, black wheels wouldn't look as good on that setup.

Thanks, and on second thought, I think I'll stick with the stock wheels for now, just keep it clean, as in no dirt. I'm concerned about aftermarket chrome wheels and salt. In days of yore, we'd always have a set of summer chrome wheels, and put the stock painted wheels on for winter. Now, I see some guys run chrome custom wheels year round. I just have problems grabbing that concept. LOL

Hey, I started this thread in hopes that others would show their trucks as well, it's not all about me!

I just put mine in the avatar. All I've done cosmetically is paint the grill and wheels white. Looked better than I thought it would. Did I mention it was cheap? I don't have it online to post and it's nothing special to look at compared to others.

I like the body style better than the big rig look too.
