I filled up at $2.90 yesterday. Memphis. What I found weird was 92 octane was $3.72. That is a huge difference.

The cheapest station on my way home today was 3.19 so I didn't buy any. Still can drive 350 miles on my 36 gallon tank in my Ecoboost.

Southern California gas prices were over $4.00 a gallon till just recently and are now in the high $3.80's. They always use the excuse they have to charge for different seasonal blends, what a joke. We use a large amount of gas as we have millions of cars in the state and the oil industry has us as a captive customer base.

I realize it's both but who's the worse offender, the oil companies or the government?

CA should be a bit higher than everywhere else but not a lot. You have special regulations on EVERYTHING. That would be the gov't issue as you pointed to.

It's $3.40 in Wyoming right now. All summer it was $3.50-3.60.

It could be greedy station owners but most likely its driven by political agendas.
