This thread is kind of funny. I've owned a lot of vehicles, but I don't think I've ever gotten as many compliments as I have with this pickup. Lots of people ask if it's a Raptor, most just say they love it. I actually had someone pull over to the side of the road to tell me how "sharp my new ride is".

Thanks. Likely Ford OEM accessories I'll have to drop in and inquire.

Exact opposite of my mom, she's 80+ and still goes to the gun range with me. She carries a .38 with hidden hammer, she complained her last revolver kept getting snagged in her purse. Only gun I have she won't shoot is my .454 Casull.

I've observed this for decades now. Its not as bad as it was in the 90's but it definitely hasn't gone away. My high school buddies were GM guys who couldn't go longer than 5 seconds without talking **** on Ford. There are literally 10x more silverados here than f150's. Chevy/Dodge guys have an alliance where they respect each other but they both hate Ford. And from what ive seen when traveling, I doubt its like this anywhere else in the country.
Down here it's mostly Ford but there's a fair share of all others here and there.

They must hate so much because all they can afford to buy is cheap trucks, Ford's are known to be more expensive on initial purchase and subsequent repair costs.

That's what happens when you buy quality. It costs more.

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me I had a "wicked badass" truck, I would've been able to pay it off already Always happy to hear compliments, nice to see other people appreciate the time and effort I put into my truck.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving down the highway doing about 70 when I noticed my driver side blind spot light come on in the mirror, when I looked out the window , the driver of the car had his cell phone up and appeared to be taking pictures as he passed by

I get a ton of compliments. I absolutely love the way it came out. The question I always get is " Is that your Raptor out there?" It's not. Just a plain 2012 Lariat with a 5.0. I just had one guy tonight at the Publix parking lot just stare as he walked by. Then he noticed me and said nice truck.
