Default Clunky Transmission

I've really noticed that my 2014 F150 6-speed transmission's shift points are not smooth at all. Most notably when I am coming to a stop and the transmission goes back to first gear it kind of slams into that first gear. Only about 2,500 miles on truck so not sure if the transmission is still "learning" but this seems odd to me. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this...

My 2014 5.0 does the exact same thing only have about 3300 miles on it curious to hear what people have to say.

I noticed my moms 2012 EB shifts a lot clunkier than my 2013 5.0. The 5.0 is much more smooth in shift points.

I've also noticed that when creeping along in first gear - like in stop-and-go traffic with no accelerator input, it's very jerky like the tranny/torque convertor can't figure out what's going on. Kind of hard to describe but its starting to drive me crazy.

My 2011 f150 5.0 and my buddy's 2012 Ecoboost do the same thing usually when creeping in traffic or letting off quick after accelerating out of first. Seems to be a common thing. Can't be good tho.

Take your truck in for inspection ASAP.

It might need to have the ECM reflashed, or it's low on fluid ......anything is possible.
Either way, you need to have them inspect it for you and document it.

Anytime a transmission is "Slamming" anything you're putting additional strain
on components that will lead to premature failure eventually.
