Default Removed key cylinder and replaced now truck will not turn over

I took out the cylinder to try to disarm the key in ignition chime. I was told there was a contact i could put tape over, i never saw what they were talking about so i put the key cylinder back with the key in on position. Now it just clicks down by the fuse panel and will not turn over. Im not sure what i messed up, i've taken it back out and checked wiring harnesses for loose connections found none. Now i have a truck that wont start and chime still works.

As long as you are sure the lock cylinder is installed correctly then you may have to adjust the ignition switch. It's located down the steering column.
