Can I improve my gas milage with a tune?
I live in California, and drive about an 1.5 hrs to and from work every day. My truck has 100k + miles, and I am consistently getting 14.3 MPG. The dealer just performed my 100k service, and replaced the spark plugs. Thinking about getting a SCT X4/7015 tuner. I know that will give me more HP, but how about gas mileage improvement? Any thoughts?

I wouldn't bank on it. If you spent $400 on a tuner just for mpgs', it's going to take some time to get that investment back. However, if you want more performance, it may be worth it. The side effect of making use of the more performance is your MPG's will suffer.
I run a 87 performance MPT tune. Depending on the situation, I saw a jump int 1-2 mpg's using cruise on the highway (65mph).

Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
Even if you were able to squeeze a MPG or two, it would take a couple hundred tanks of gas to break even from the tuner purchase

I get much better mpg on the interstate with my 5* 87econ tune. However, I think they change the speedometer setting because to say your going faster than you are.
But, if you want better mpg try cruising at +10mph slower than usual and see what happens.
Science shows that for every mph faster you go, the mpg falls more and more exponentially. Cars/trucks are typically rated using 55mph. The drop of in mpg from 55 to 70 is amazing.

I guess I'm really wondering why my gas milage is so poor. I'm not exactly a led foot. Was hoping the spark plug change might improve it a bit, but not at all. It's funny, I see Ecoboost owners saying they get much better gas mileage than I do. Wonder why that is?

Where do you drive? How fast do you drive? If its a lot of city driving then expect less MPG, if you are driving 60+ MPH you are going to see your MPG suffer as well.

How fast do you take off from a stop? I used to have a pretty heavy foot at take off, started going easier on it and noticed an improvement in my MPG. From my experience it's usually a lot of little things in your driving style that will make the most difference.
