I have a 2004 f150 new body style Lariat model. I like it,,sorry I have been a Chevy fan. But I do love this truck. I am getting a lot of noise from the phase followers or cam followers read alot about this can . I would like to know what is the newest or what year motor can I put in that truck to get away from that issue of the timing chain ,,cam or phase followers all that stuff I want to get away from it.

You would have to put a non 5.4 in it. All 04-10 5.4 have the cam-phasers. If its fine, put new cam-phasers, vct solenoids, chains, chain guides, oil pump and clean the oil pan out.
