Buying a New 2015 F150

I have owned a 14 and while it was a nice truck it does not hold a wick to my 15. Much nicer a defined. If you have the money don't even look in the direction of a 14. That big of a difference.

I'll agree with this... I test drove a 14 and for the heck of it asked the salesman to pull a 15 around and test drove it. The difference was like night and day. The extra horsepower and lighter truck really shined. I signed papers on the 15. It's the quietest nicest riding truck I have ever been in.

There's some caveats to buying a 2015 you need to consider.
#1. Ford Certified Aluminum repairs in any accidents are going to be limited and high costing due to low certification shops on such a new product. There will be LEARNING CURVES.....and you are the guinea pig with your truck.
#2. Because of #1 higher costs of repairs, insurance rates will cost more.
#3. New redesigns ALWAYS have gremlins to sort out 1st and 2nd model year.
#4. On top of 1-3 you're paying a premium for the 1st year edition of the new bodystyle.
Drive both in the exact trim you can afford. Don't drive a Platinum if you plan on buying an XLT. Drive the model trim you plan to buy otherwise it screws with your perception. Me personally it took me awhile to kinda like the 2015's, but I still think my 2013 FX4 with the special interior on the appearance package is way nicer of a pickup. This is a subjective area obviously, and I also feel that Ford went backwards in the Vent designs on the new one.
The aluminum body panels on the 2015......just walk up and push on them, they flex like thick aluminum foil to me. I know it's supposed to endure hits well but.....it's an honest perception. This is undoubtedly the future, but I don't think I'd want to be the guinea pig paying for it in many ways, plus discovering it's weakness in the field for them. I'd wait, and get a 2014 heavily discounted first.

As my lease comes due on my 2014 I looked long and hard at over 20 2015 f150's and besides the back tail lights along with the fronts I did not find one f150 the i liked better then mine.(looks). I do like the interior better on the 2015's as it looks more upscale but found the leather seats less comfortable on the 15's. all that coupled with a junk trade in I used and got 5,000 for which i'd loose i decided it's just not worth the upgrade...
