no worries and granted, the 3v did have far more issues, and they were more serious and directly plug related. but the american made 2v version experienced some level of plug issues as well. still best to change them anyway at that mileage for optimum performance
manifolds, there are both 2v and 3v with them going left and right. that said they go on anything given long enough

My 2001 5.4 (2v) blew a plug at about 139K. $700 repair including changing the rest of them. As far as I understand, if the plugs are kept tight they won't blow.
You are at the point where they should be changed. Be careful or you could damage threads doing so. There is a procedure involving internal and external penetration before attempting removal. Also, I think it says to only remove them warm. Not sure on that though.

I would say that is a great deal. The problem for 2V tritons is not the plugs, its the head design. They only had about 4 threads per hole in the head, which makes them prone to "spitting" the plug. I always snugged mine down nice and tight on my 01 5.4 and never had a problem. Changed plugs 3 times in 175K and never had a problem with plugs or cylinder heads stripping out on the plug holes.

nice looking truck, every time I see a good set up 10th gen ford makes me wish I still had mine, I like those trucks for some reason, sold my 4.6 @159k miles, never had any issue outside of routine maintenance.

This truck is due for an oil change in just under 1k miles, ill probably do it a little earlier like next weekend... this truck has (this very moment) 104,670 miles. Should i run High Mileage 10w-40 oil in it from now on? or just keep using conventional 10w-30 from the major brands?
