A simple thing to try is to disconnect the battery ground for a couple of minutes, re-connect and try starting.

That might re-boot the anti-theft system.

Before you reste the battery; Press and hold the odometer SELECT/RESET button then turn the key to run. Keep holding the button till tESt shows in the odometer. Release the button. Press and release the button to scroll through the readings till you see dtc. If the cluster has any codes stored you will see them after the dtc. Post any codes that you find.

Same problem as the guy that started this post and did as requested the code I get is 9601 which is supposed to mean pats recieved incorrect key code. I bought the ignition switch at advance auto and they are absolutely no help. I need to get this runing as it is my only transportation and I don't make much money, I work in a bakery. I bewlieve the new key is sending just the codes are wrong. is there a way to fix it with iut towing it to the dealer? I liked it a lot better when you could fix your own cars. Dealers programming something for 300$ is not what I need to hear. Is there another way??
