Default Bfg A/T KO2 air pressure

Just bought a set of BFG A/T KO2 tires size LT285/65/18 for my truck,a 2007 Supercrew 4X4. Tire dealer told me I need to run these at 55psi to keep them from running hot. They are an E load range tire. While the truck drives good you feel every little bump or ripple in the pavement with them aired up this high. Anyone else hear running this tire,if so what tire pressure are you running? This seems a bit high to me.

Yeah, the tire dealer told me if I run them lower than 55psi the tires would run hot. Like I said, that seemed a bit high to me. Thanks

A reasonable, general ROT (Rule Of Thumb) PSI is 80% of whatever is the maximum PSI on the sidewall and monitor tread wear.

I run 45 and if hauling something heavy increase the rear tire pressures by as much needed.
