Default Best oil?

New to f150's and the 5.4. Just got a 2005 with 167,000 miles. It has the tick noise I've read about and was wondering if I should use a full synthetic 5w20 or higher or just use regular conventional in 5w20. Would any of you recommend Lucas oil stabilizer or a higher weight oil?

This has been asked like billions of times. I will be nice and tell you that you need to search the threads already posted here and on google. There will be plenty of smart *** remarks to follow, lol.

I would just use Motorcraft 5w-30 oil.

Just make sure you use oil in the crankcase, not Lucas or anything else, just oil.
