Default 2010 Extended cab power tailgate lock

I have read many posts of members who have added power tailgate locks that work via the stock key fob with the passenger doors. Unfortunately they all seem to be on crew cabs that have rear doors with locks. I am wondering if anyone knows what color wires to tap into, in the passenger side channel on the extended cab ? The feedback will save me time through trial and error.

Thanks much

ford has used pink/green and pink/yellow for their lock and unlock wires for years. In the f-150 I think they are at the bcm.

There are a few links in this thread. I saw on here before someone fabbed a bracket and used an actuator from a door lock-tapped into the wires in the door sill-ran them to the gate and DONE. Should be doable on an ext cab just need an extra foot or two of wire, and tap the passenger side if you want to open it on the second click.

I am just about to do this on a 2007 Scab, with one of those $5 actuator off ebay. I've already identified all the wires and am just waiting for the actuator to arrive. I will be tapping into the wires on the passenger side sill. The wires for the passenger door actuator (for the two push unlock) are the PINK/ORANGE and PINK/BLACK wires, for those planning on doing the same thing. I will run these tapped wires down the sill and out the grommet at the back of the sill, which is where my rear camera wires enters as well.
