Default Bedrug Bedtred or DIY Bed Liner ??

I have a 2014 Lariat and am wavering weather to go with a DIY bed liner like duplicolor, hurculiner etc.... or something like the Bedrug Bedtred. I'm curious if anyone has experience with these products.

The youtube videos of the duplicolor diy bed liner seems pretty straight forward but I just don't know if I want to scuff the bed of my brand new truck.

The Bedrug Bedtred seems like a good product in the fact that its a drop in molded liner that is made out of the spray in material. But I worry about water getting under it and causing rust issues, staining, cleaning etc...

I had a local guy that was doing spray in liners for 350 but I cant get ahold of him. I'm hearing he might be out of business so I'm now exploring the above 2 options.

i've used hurculiner... not on a truck bed. it was nasty stuff and a super aggressive texture (like cut your knuckles if you scraped them on it) i would not use it again

I used herculiner on a bagged show truck. One of the dumbest things I've ever done. It held up so-so. Wasn't nice looking like line x. I used wire wheels on 4 1/2" grinders to get it all out. It took me the better part of 2 days to get it off. Then came the clean up. That was almost worse than the grinding. I had line x spray it in and it looks ask e and has for the last 5 years. I even cut a gas door into the bed floor about 2 years ago and it blended perfect. Worth every penny!!!

I have the bedtred and love it, it is impervious and the drain holes in the bed of the truck let any moisture drain right thru. Very easy on the knees if you have to crawl around on it and nothing but NOTHING slides around, it has a kind of rubberized like quality.

BedTred hands down!... Don't use the DIY liner on anything that will actually get used...

BedTred can be had for just over $300 and is an excellent choice.

It's going to depend on what you are using the truck for. Like said above, the bed rug or bed tred really nice on the knees. But, the bedrug will stain if you aren't careful with it. I found that deer blood doesn't come out of it, nor does anything oily.
I have to say though, that after my bedrug was all stained up, I ran it with no cap on my truck, and just stopped caring and really started to just abuse it like a bedliner. It is really tough, just looked like hell.
I had a spray in liner in my ranger, and threw a lot at that as well. Some of it chipped off, and I found that the bed got all dented up.
So, it's back to the tried and true plastic bedliner for me. But then again, this is what the back of my truck gets used for.

I don't know about this bedtred but I would save a little more and get the spray-in. I'm all about protecting what protects the bed. First I ditched the factory drop-in liner for LineX spray-in about $400 here. Then purchased both the BedRug Tailgate Mat and BedRug Mat.

You should then put a drop in liner on top of all that and you'd really be set. Like the helmet protector protector.
