Bed Storage: Bakbox vs Swingcase vs Others?

+1 for Swingcases with the caveat that I haven't had anything else. I've had swingcases in my 2010 for 4 years and put them (new set) in my 2016. Your "con" of losing a tie-down spot is negated by their easy removability.
In my 2010 with a drop in bed-liner I had to do some cutting and drilling (instructions provided). In my 2016 with the factory spray-in bed-liner all the holes were there. Ford sells the undercover as OEM equipment (rebranded of course and costs more) so they prepped the truck for installation.

I don't remember the tie-downs in my 2010.

In my 2016 (just went and looked). If you remove the swingcase you'll have access to the tie-down in the corner of the bed (near the tailgate). I actually have my box-link cleat installed and it's pretty well accessible with the swingcase installed.

Edit: Just watched a video for the Swingcase and noticed it blocks the Bedlights, another con

Thanks so much for checking (I have a 2015 so same bed). For some reason I thought the tie-down had to be removed completely for the installation of the swingcase. If all I have to do is remove the swingcase to use the tie-down that works for me. That has to be easier than removing all your stuff from the Bakbox and folding it up.

Of course, you could keep a flashlight in your swingcase.

Both are great options, I think the real deciding factors are if you need that tie down point and how much space you need. The BAKBox is probably the better option if you need more space for gear, and the Swingcase is great for easy accessibility.

I bought a heavy duty black plastic tool tote box from Walmart, and it holds plenty of tools/gear for me. I normally push it to the front of the bed and it doesn’t slide around at all on my stall mat.
