Bed Covers

I watched the video and the G4 Elite appears to have some very nice features but I'm more concerned with securing the cover so that nobody can open it. I didn't see a key or locking mechanism in the ad. It's not that big of a deal having to open the tailgate before opening the BakFlip F1 on my truck.

There very well may be some sort of locking apparatus on the G4 Elite Fold bed cover. If so you probably have to keep up with another key. I've already got enough keys and like the way the BakFlip F1 is secured without one.
I don't know where you live but have you considered snow load and the weight capacity of a bed cover? If you live where there is a lot of snow it could make a difference. I don't have a snow load concern but I do like the 400 lb. capacity of the BakFlip F1 as well. I need to drag my overweight backside up there a few times every once in a while to clean the top of the truck.

This is my first truck that I put a folding hard cover on, and I will definitely be going this route from now on. Ive had the snap down tonneaus, caps, and full hard covers, but this is the way to go.
The one I found is made by Advanced Cover. I found a smokin' deal on craigslist, for $75. I believe they are around $800 new. It folds up to sit by the cab, or you can fold the first section away from the cab, to get at things in the front of the box. They also make a toolbox, that sits flush under the front panel, if you want to go that route.
It has locks at both ends, but i feel that if some dick wants to steal your stuff, they are going to get it open anyways.
Folded up.

I have an Extang Solid fold Cover, goes on and off in seconds, folds out of way. Very strong, I think you can park a 4 wheeler on it. Locks when you lock the tailgate because the latches are inside, no extra key needed. I had one a few years ago on another truck, and got another when I got the FX4 in Nov.
