Default Any negatives for buying truck in Canada ?

Been looking around for an F150 and found one that fits everything i want, however its in Canada. Are there any cons to buying one in Canada and registering, insuring etc it in the US ?

thanks

$$$ for one and then your gauges will show the km's prominently instead of miles. I'm sure there's more. Why not order one the way you want?

It would be an expensive, time consuming process to import it into the U.S.
It would be much quicker and easier to just find one here and buy it here.
I am assuming your talking used and not new. for a new truck if you cant find it order it.

This should anwser all your questions on importing a vehicle into the USA. Chances are the odometer/spedo will be in Km not miles.

Thanks for the replies, I'm an English guy and only been living in the states for 18 months so had no idea how this would have worked.

Appreciate the replies and I'll continue my search in the US

Importing vehicles is really not that hard. The advantage for you is the exchange rate on the dollar. Your money is going to go a lot further in Canada.

Won't change the printed face of the speedo. Look at yours, km's should be prominent, on my speedo Miles are prominent.

So how would you change a digital odometer from Km to miles?
