Default antifreeze leak

I have a '97 F150, XLT, 4.6, Scab, the engine (a reman) has about 32,000 on it. I have a AF leak that shows up on the floor directly under the bell housing in small drops. On the lift there in NO sign of a leak anywhere. I have cleaned the lower parts of the engine thoroughly and there is no trace of AF even after weeks.
It eats a quart of AF about every two weeks or so and the drops are not always there.
Checked the heater core, not there. Have checked all fittings that I can reach without any sign.
Removed the inspection screen on the bottom of the bell housing and nothing.
Does anyone have some ideas?

Don't know if the 1997 4.6L engine in the F-150s is PI (Performance Improved) or not, however, if it's not it could be the hose that runs under the intake manifold.

HINT/TIP: You may find posting in the
Late Model F150s > 1997 - 2003 Ford F150
section more helpful/appropriate than General F150 Discussion posts.

-REFERENCE-
.

EDIT: It appears that the F-150s did not get the PI 4.6L until 2001. (?)

Thanks Joe; It is not the PI engine. I hope it's not the line under the manifold. It's a steel line.

Ya, I know. -IF- it's the source of the leak, the easiest, work-around-fix is to run a hose rather than remove the intake and replace the tube.

Default a.f. leak

Joe:

But wouldn't there be signs of AF in the valley under the manifold?
