Good F150 Ecoboost report, deer! I've been to Alaska a couple of times, Kodiak, Anchorage area, and Fairbanks, also up haul road about to Coldfoot. We camped up above the circle some. Nothing there but Alaska helicopters.
I drove over 800 miles around Fairbanks, down to Tok, etc. Beautiful, lonely, nature-power country for sure. I saw a bunch of places where you could tell somebody had the "Alaska Dream" but couldn't make it in the harshness of winters there. Guess that's why in over 100 years since gold days, population is only a bit over 600,000 hardy people. Love it though! The highways are a lot better than they used to be, especially the Alaska Highway.
Okay, waiting on more F150 reports and photos! That Ecoboost is really doing good for you! Glad to read some good reports!
Oh, I think the reason they lowered air pressure is the haul road trip. People told me they always lower pressure when they drive on it to reduce flat tires due to so many sharp rocks.

Sitting here in our apartment in Haines watching the bald eagles. There are at least 3 pair perched on the trees and telephone poles looking out over the water. Every so often one will soar over the water looking for fish and then come back to his perch. Haven't seen any dive for fish yet but yesterday they stole a fish that my friend caught and laid on a log. Sneaky too, they slip in when you have your back turned.

Yes, we are fine. No internet or cell phone service on the ferry from Haines to Bellingham and it took 4 days for the trip. Now in Centralia Washington visiting family and friends. Will get some more photos up when I get a chance.
This is one of the Alaskan ferries like we rode to Bellingham.

Here are a big momma bear and her very large cub that hangs around the river and lake near Haines, Alaska
Our ferry the Columbia on which we rode 4 days from Haines to Bellingham Washington
An Alaska folk band that played in Haines at the Farmer's Market
My wife and I on the Ferry. Amazing the tight places the ferry went through on the inland passage. Sometimes it looked like the rocks were only 30 to 40 yards on either side of this huge ship.
My 2012 F-150 has performed perfectly the entire trip. We are now in Baker City, Oregon on the final 2400 miles of our 10,000 mile trip not counting the 1100 miles we rode on the ferry.

Great write up of a once in a lifetime adventure. You should approach Ford about writing this up for My Ford magazine. Really well done, I enjoyed reading about your trip, I'm sure others would too.
