Azuri Hey how ya been doing? I don't think he has any hate for Canada. Some where in his thread (probably back in the sections near the start of this thread), he had problems using his card to get gas some where in Canada. That is why he wants to be able to drive thru it before having to get more gas. No hate, just an inconvience for his trip. I have been following and reading this thread, so I saw it back in here some where.

A new law in Canada forces foreign credit card holders to go inside to buy gasoline. My credit card gives me a 5 per cent discount on gasoline purchased only at the pump. That is 32 cents a gallon on $6.50 gasoline.
Canadian people are some of the nicest and friendliest people we have met. I might add that they have plenty of rest stops and free picnic areas with bear proof garbage containers. Beats the heck out of Alaska.
Gasoline is pretty expensive here in Haines, Alaska too. $4.77 a gallon.

We saw a strange creature on our trip through the Yukon towards Haines, Alaska. Appeared to be a cougar although it was dark brown and seemed to be taller then a cougar. I have seen cougars before and it was not the color of a cougar.
All four of us saw it within a hundred yards crossing a road to go to the huge lake in the Yukon. It had a long cougar like tail, a cougar like head but the color was wrong, dark brown and it appeared to be taller then a normal cougar. It was definately big enough to be a cougar, biggest one I have ever saw.

We cooked our salmon by this lake where we saw the "cougar". Scenery was incredible through the Yukon Terrritory, British Columbia and Alaska to Haines. Besides the cougar, we also saw a black bear and a moose.

Nice, I recognize a few of those places when we were up there last year.
We camped on the beach in Homer one night right across from the "fishing hole that floods with the tide" haha. Might be the highlight of my trip up there, can't beat the view from the tent we were in thats for sure. Also went to the exit glacier place you were at.
