Welcome to the group of poor ac's in 13's!

https://www.f150forum.com/f38/compre...ng-fix-271852/

After you evac, and recharge with correct amount, which isnt very much, let us know how its performing. What most are seeing in 13's is a cycling range of 42 ish to 48. Yours is way out!

But the hack in the link, has made a lot of happy campers.

Link doesn't work. What should I search for? I'll evac and recharge this weekend.

The link works for me. But in any event if your not experiencing compressor cycling it won't help, from your readings I can only gather two things, 1) the system has air in it, or 2) the blend door and/or plenum may have issues.

Didn't work on iPhone, works fine on iPad. Lots of reading, lol.

At the end of the day, my AC is into the 40's when rpm is up, and mine is cycling every 9-10 seconds. I'm thinking the cycling hack is best bet. I'll still vac & charge though.

I had a good feeling it was but I had to ask as you stated earlier it wasn't.

The REAL fix would be to alter the bcm programming to widen the parameters of comp on time. No one has figured how to do that yet and the best method thus far is the resistor hack on the evap sensor.

EDIT: Actually I have figured out how to alter comp on time but it's expensive and only good as long as the equipment remains with the vehicle and one knows how to use it. I have the Ford tech computer that dealers use and I was able to bring the temp in my truck down to 20* F, may have gone lower but my ears and nose were beginning to hurt. Fog is what you see coming from the vent, not a hazy pic.

Are we still using the same fix as on page 1 after 100+ pages?

Brought home my vac pump. Ready for war.

YES AND NO! A resistor, yes. The one on the first page, not so much or many.

Its very important that, in spite of the many pages, that you familiarize yourself with what is working and what isnt and the side effects.
