97 F150 4x4 ABS brakes misfiring
This has been an intermittant issue, that for no reason (perfectly dry conditions) the ABS system kicks in when I'm close to a full stop--5 mph or so.
What this means is the truck won't stop! The ABS releases full braking even when jammed full on the floor. It's nearly sent me rolling into traffic, into other cars in parking lots, etc....
I've learned that when it happens to quickly shut off the ignition and then the brakes work normally.
It used to only happen on the first stop (after starting in the morning) every few months or so--then a year passed, but it's now happened a few times this week alone and the ABS light on the dash stays on sometimes when I start.
Any ideas guys? The controller module? Pump assembly? Evil gremlins?
Thanks!

ABS Misfiring Solved
Aha....It was the front sensors/wheel bearings. Wasn't cheap (~$900) but I now have new wheel bearings and actually trust that the brakes will work every time I hit them!
