Should've bought a 10th gen, preferably an early model like my 97, I have no speed limiter

Last week i was on my way home from work around 3 am and the freeway was empty so i opened her up and the needle kept going after 100 a good while until the truck started skacking pretty bad so i let off i would say i got to at least 120-125 BTW I have a its a 1999 f150 4x4 5.4 with 35's

Yeah I may only have 230 hp stock but if I do a PI head and intake swap that adds 75-100 hp roughly. Then I could also add a supercharger and make even more. There's plenty of potential for power with these trucks.

And with only 230 hp, the low end torque these 5.4 2v have had plenty of get up and go. My trucks 2wd and has 3.55ls in the rear and if I floor it it'll take off pretty swiftly.

A tuner removes the limiter. I think I approach those speeds maybe once every year or two when I'm on a high speed interstate and need to pass someone quickly. Some people are dicks and like to speed up when you try and pass....

Cmanjr - Yeah I may only have 230 hp stock but if I do a PI head and intake swap that adds 75-100 hp roughly.
Dreaming ... Unless you plan on EXTENSIVE head work, cams, (say) a 50-shot NoS system, and a dyno' tune.
