Box or Cover????

Simple questions to ask are: How much do you use the bed for cargo? What type of cargo do you carry & will it require using your full bed? As far as covers go, do you want weather-proof or simply something to keep prying eyes out?

that makes sense with the shopping..but if u have an empty tool box depending on how much you have you could put it in there. I have always wanted a cover, but think of the one time you'll actually not need the cover on there then your stuck with it. so its pretty much up to you, I got my box and i love it

I've had over the rail type diamond plate toolboxes in my other trucks and I kept them filled with ratchet straps, jumper cables, hand tools, tow chain, & a flat tire plug kit with an air compressor. It was super handy. But for my supercrew I want to get a diamond plate chest type box that sits below the top of the bed sides so I can also have a Pace Edwards style retractable cover to keep the rest of the bed dry & secure. Gonna lose cargo room for big stuff but that's when you grab a utility trailer. Just my plans.

Given how most women shop, including my wife, a cover may be the way to go for you. It allows you to shop as much as you want and place your valuables in the bed. It’ll be like having a big trunk. You can continue shopping at various stores and just pile things and hide them in your “trunk”. The only problem now would be: Which type of cover to get. There are so many types, that you also have to consider your uses & needs from that cover.

how much do those pace edwards cost? I will have to ask a friend of mine what brand it was but i saw a vinyl cover that rolled up on itself and you could secure behind the bed. I want a cover when i pull the trigger on a new truck but i need to be able to quickly move it up to get my snowmobile and quads in the back.
