Default 77 ranger XLT charging problems

Hi to all

I am from the UK and live in Cheyenne now, i have inherited a F150 ranger XLT 1977. It runs fine for a day or two around town and then the battery dies and it wont start. I have replaced the alternator, solenoid and voltage regulator, but to no avail. There must be a drain somewhere, or maybe i have wires crossed on the solenoid ?

Any help would be appreciated

Mike

Alternator wire goes on the side that connects to the battery, with all the other wires. The only wire on the other side of the solenoid goes to the starter.
