Default 77-78 f-150

Hi everyone, I am 16 and I'm getting my first truck soon... Hopefully... I love the 77-78 body style with short wheel base. I was wondering if I should go with a 77-78 with a 302 or a 351? I will be running 33-35 inch tires and a 6-8" lift kit. I will be mud riding and trail riding with my buddies and doing some hauling like a 16' car hauler trailer with 4 4wheelers, 350 miles round trip. I'm not worried about gas economy. Please help... getting a truck soon.

351. My father in law had a 94 extra cab with the dual fuel tank and a 351. That truck was great and the motor was awesome!

There's two different 351s. A 351 modified is a big block and a 351 Windsor which is a small block. If I were you, and hauling said items, I would aim for a 400. Some say the 351 and 400 are the same but the 400 has a longer stroke. The 400 will run circles around the 351 with proper tuning. I'd aim for that. Or a 460 lol
