3"level + 35's rubbing control arms
So I'm new here so thank you in advance for the help and will give help whenever I can.
to the point, I've had the truck since day one in 2010.
Last year I needed new tires.. so pulled the trigger and got a Rough Country 3" Level since they advertised I could fit 35x12.5x18 no problems on my stock wheels. Yes they fit(for the most part), and yes they look great! But after a few days of driving I discovered that while turning hard and going down hill on a freeway onramp the tires are grabbing on my control arm.
Ive considered buying aftermarket wheels with a +18offset, however will this alleviate the control arm rub and create rubs elsewhere, thus force me to trim things?
Im clueless and could use advice from anyone that knows!

Thanks for the thought, i might try the 1/4" ones from rough country since theyre so cheap. Im definitely interested in getting some Anthem Defender wheels with the +18 offset, might get the wheels first and if they dont fix it then add the spacers to them as the last ditch effort

Nasty is right the +18 brings it out of the wheel well not in more. I'm running +18 with with 275's and have about 1.5" clearance between the spindle and tire. A 12.5" Tire would add 3/4" to this and still have 3/4 clearance.

yeah... depends on the width of the wheel

Thanks for the info! After some research I'm pretty sure the +18 replacing my stock +44's, including the increase in wheel width by 1.5", should move the whole tire about 0.25" away from the control arms.
currently the +44 - +18 = a 26MM difference, aka 1" farther out, however I must add the 1.5" added in wheel width as well, split in half since only half goes towards control arms, so 0.75" back towards the arms, leaving me with really only moving the tires 0.25" off the arms.. not sure if this will be enough though, so I am considering -12 offset, but am worried about my tires sticking an extra 2" farther out of my wheel wells, not a fan of fender flares ;/.
Anyone running a -12mm or +18mm setup on 18x9 or 20x9 wheels with the 35's on?? or even 33's if 12.5 wide.
