Thank you, Mine with 0" offset and I had to do some trimming...
I think with 285/70/17 you should be good...

Nothing wrong with a 285x70x17 until you level the truck and wish you would have went a little taller! I had some 285x70x17's on my '04 and they looked small to me so I went a little taller with the 295x70's...real common after looking at some of the trucks on here with larger tires...

Yeah man I really get what you're saying!! I plan on going taller. I leave for Germany in a month so and I won't get back with my unit until October. But I'll be making extra while I'm overseas so while I'm gone, I'll be saving for some 17x10 fuel mavericks and 35x12.50r17 federal M/Ts. Hopefully that'll beef it up.
