Hey,
I was thrilled to see the new 2018 previews....great looking truck !!
Does anyone know anything about the colours for '18 ?
I currently have a 2015 Bronze fire ....but I'm a sucker for green.
I wish I had of ordered the "Guard" green colour for my '15, but I see they must have dropped it and actually don't even offer any green for 2017.
The only green I see in the '18 preview seems to be for the King Ranch which is a gorgeous colour....but I can't really afford the King.
I've been driving Ford trucks since the early '70's and don't ever remember them NOT having a green in their colour selection.
Can someone offer any info?.....thanks

Green is one of the least popular colors for trucks these last 10 years or so. Even most cars minus the smaller "hip" cars. Same with brown.

Good luck. Even if you find one on the lot, might not have the options you want.

Best bet would be to custom order.

Guard was my favorite Ford color, would've easily been my #1 choice had it been available on a 2016.
Have seen a few photos that maybe it's coming back on the 2018s?

Yes, I saw one photo in the preview of '18 F150's showing what looked like a "Moss " green F150 pulling a trailer. I wasn't sure if it was just for the King Ranch though.
I always order my trucks because I like carpet delete option.....but I don't think you can custom order a paint colour other than what is being offered for that year. Does anyone know?

The list of most "popular" colors is a joke. The automakers give us 7 shades of grey or neutral colors to pick from, and possibly a red and a blue if we're lucky, and then somebody does a study on which one is purchased most often and judge that as the "most popular" color.

So if all you had to pick from was black like in the model T days, I guess black was the most popular color. Lol.

Green is a wonderful color on a truck, and 15 or 20 years ago when it was offered it was extremely common to see them. The Explorer looked really good in that dark metallic green they had also.

Green Gem was in the 09-14 gen. Guard (a lighter green) was offered in at least 2015 as my dad got one.

Can't custom order unless you probably promise to buy 10+ at a time.

It seems that the most popular colors are some shade of silver & grey (which all remind me of a cloudy day), followed by black (will Never have one of those again) & some shade of white. This is not just here in the good `ol USA, but world wide. Personally, I like the wild colors over the conservative ones, eg. My truck is ruby, Mustang GT is GHIG. Different strokes etc.

That is good news about guard colour....I WILL definitely be ordering it next spring.
