2015 f150 concept revealed

What am I missing?
I saw a bunch of pics of Ford's Atlas CONCEPT vehicle, but hardly ANY info on the new '150.
I take it nobody saw the Dodge, GM, or Hummer concept trucks from a few years ago?
The final production version of their 'updated' existing models looked nothing like 'em, nor did they incorporate the 'neat' wheels and big tires, or the space-age controls.
Manufacturer's throw out 'Concept' vehicles as a way to gauge interest in future design language. RARELY does a concept vehicle get to production, and when they have, they were incredibly toned down.
You can see from these concept vehicles, design cues(following the particular design language) in some current production models. Sometimes NOTHING makes it. Depends on press and public reaction, and the accounting department.
So does anybody have info on the '15 F150's powertrain, interior, exterior, technology..anything? I've seen the 'it'll weigh 700lbs lighter due to using recycled plastic toothbrushes' articles....anything about the truck as a whole?

Take a look here: http://fordatlasconcept.fordpresskit...pecs_HR_US.pdf
I doubt you're going to see this 700lbs lighter aluminum frame - just too expensive. Far more cost-efficient to implement the dood-dads seen in the Atlas (closing grille, dropping valence, wheel closing, etc).
The "Next-gen" ecoboost will most assuredly be part of the revamp.
As for anything about the 2015 F150, the only info is that which pertains to the Atlas. No other info has been released.

your chevy 2 pic is almost spot on for the new global colorado we just dont know if its for sure coming to the us or not
and your chevy 3 pic is actually very similar in design to the newest silverado/sierra trucks except for grille "boldness" and lifted suspension.

keep in mind the fuel std's set for 2015. Ford to meet that is gonna lighten this f150 by alot of weight and reduce the cubic inch of the engines. The next gen ecoboost is gonna be a smaller because it is not going to need to be because the new F150 is alot lighter overall. To me that means more plastics, aluminum, and other lighter metal material. I guess we just need to wait until 2014 to see what rolls off the assembly line. Very few trucks ever come out looking like the concept, just a few new bells/whistles added but rarely the overall body style and options. The Atlas shown is easily a $70-80k truck if not more. The whole point Ford rolled it out is keep the possible truck trader to hold off and wait for there new design. Seems to be working based on these posts!!
