2014 F150 Oxidation/Rust
Howdy everyone,
This is my first post here after being a long time lurker. About 2 months ago I purchased a 2014 F-150. The truck is CPO (not like that matters anyway with these kind of stealerships), and it was used as a fleet truck in Michigan. Now being from Texas, I'm not used to seeing oxidation on the engine and rust under the hood. Does this look normal to my northern friends up there? I was told it's normal because of the salty roads.

I managed to get the dealer to rust proof it in order to prevent it from getting worse. I was just a little shocked. I stupidly rushed into this truck, and I didn't bother checking under the hood. I've always lived in Texas so I've never seen anything like it before. Just making sure I didn't walk into a trap - all of my friends I've shown it to swear it's a flood vehicle, but then again here down in Texas we're not used to seeing this. I appreciate your replies!

looks pretty typical to me. After a few years up here the frame turns orange and a few more the doors and rockers do the same. and then holes, etc. Consider yourself dang lucky you don't have to deal with it!
