Default 6" Zone Off Road Lift - Problems?... Yes

I put a 6" Zone off Road Kit on my 2010 screw. After 2 days of problem with the install (at a local dealer) The truck finely looked like I wanted it to, level. Now here is 7 months later and both front struts are leaking, and completely gone. Driving down the road I hit a bump and the front of the truck starts to hop like I'm driving on washboards.

So I'm confident about my Zone purchase because of the lifetime warranty, as long as you are the original purchaser....... Well not covered. WTF!!! You can't stand by your product for 7 months? Thinking back to my install, is this why they were having such a hard time leveling my truck? We're the struts bad from the start?

Needless to say I'm really pissed off.

Anyone else have a problem with the Struts from Zone off Road? Anyone have some suggestions? I really think Zone should step up and replace them.

What are some replacement options that will work with this lift? I don't want to be replacing them every 7 months.

Thanks

Wait so you purchased the lift but not the original purchaser so can't get the warranty? That makes no sense.

As far as shocks bilstein 5100s work great, installed a set on a buddy's truck with a 6" lift

No, Zone Off Road said the struts are a wear and tear part and were not covered under the warranty. I am the original purchaser but the warranty doesn't cover wear and tear parts.......

Gotcha makes sense, zone makes decent stuff but as with any lift company I wouldn't trust their brand name shocks. Definitely go aftermarket

I have been extremely happy with the look and ride of the lift up 'til now. I have been in contact with Steve at Zone Off road (forum member) and they are reviewing "the wearable items" and are going to decide if they will cover them under warranty.

He said this is not a common problem, so that's good news.

I just hope customer service comes through!

Hell, most shocks and struts are covered for life. Don't see why this would be any different. They are making this quickly from wray and tear. It's either bad workmanship or bad parts. Either way, something that should be covered by Zone's warranty.

Zone off Road is going to replace them under warranty. That's what I'm talking about! Customer service is the key to running a business. My faith has been restored. Thanks to Zone Off road for standing behind their product.
