I checked out your case notes, Wooly0826; your CSM is still working on your case with your dealership. If you'd like me to arrange for a follow-up call, just send me a PM with a confirmation of your best daytime phone number.

Pretty ridiculous that the company that made the truck can't figure out what is wrong with it. I'm about to tell Ford to keep it until they ACTUALLY fix it. Love how I got the truck brand new in December and here I am in May with an unidentifiable problem, COOL!
Exactly! I take mine in to drop off for a few days on May 19th....I fully expect them to say they cant duplicate the sound. I am going to tell them to drive it up hill to my house while the truck is under load then shift to park. Does it everytime!

I spoke with the service manager at my dealership today. He told me that ford is aware of the issue, and they are working on a fix. He assured me that it does not impact the durability of transmission. I was told to give him a call back in a few weeks to check for an update. Frustrating but at least they acknowledge there is an issue....

Had mine in and they replaced the thermal bypass valve. It fixed the noise from park to gear and back. Now i have a strange vibration buzzer noise between shifts and intermittant. Took back to d3aler and they cant hear it even when i take them fir a ride. They claim its a exhaust drone. They said as long as it shifts fine and tranny temps dont over heat im good to go. Guess im just gonna drive it see what happens.

So now i have to take back in cause there is grind noise between 3.4 and 5. And its worse after the bypass valve was replaced. They told me it will be fine and that is bs. I didnt take it back to same dealer i took back to the purchasing dealer. This truck is a dud. Already had to have speakers fixed, rear end rebuilt, thermal bypasd valve in tranny fixed. And now this. I havnt even had truck 6 months yet.

I want to alert your CSM that you're having this concern, mrcmbenton. Send me a PM with your current mileage and a verification of your best daytime phone number; I'll get this into her hands.

Could you have Sally call me crystal.
I'm not driving my truck anymore because I'm not going to be left on the side of the rd. Mines worse as well...

The first time I took my truck in for the noise (that apparently I am the only one experiencing or at least I'm made to feel) while shifting the thermal bypass valve was changed. This helped was by far no fix!! The truck has done it 6 times since in shorter duration. I can hold my trans into 3rd gear and manually shift to 4th at 35 to 40 mph and get a whine 9 out of 10 times. This is where things get interesting ... I called the dealership back and was told to bring it in and if I could replicate the noise they would take a "peak" at it. (Again if I could replicate the noise)not them. So myself and another person I brought along did just that, we loaded up the "transmission tech" and down the road we went. After less than ¼ mile he looks at me and states "no need to go any farther I can hear it" so I left the truck there. This was at 8:30 am. Later that afternoon a ford Rep calls my home (after I waited 3 days for the call). We had a lengthy discussion about the underlying issue with basically no resolve. This Rep was in contact with the dealer before and after speaking with me. The rep told me the dealer was going to keep the truck till the following day to diagnose. The dealer called me at 8:30 am the following morning to let me know that there was nothing wrong with my truck, as you can imagine things were downhill from there. They tried to tell me that it was turbo noise. Lol. The transmission teck tried to claim that he didn't really hear a notice and denied that he told me to turn around and go back. The service mngr stated that there dealership does not have a Rep therefore I can't see one. The woman from ford won't entertain this forum because she said people that post on here "lie and exaggerate" and the ford has nothing to do with this site. But yet they moniter it. I won't go away and I won't give up until this "noise" is gone. They refused to put chassis ears on while I was there...go figure. The service mngr stated that his hands were tied and at this point ford will not authorize him to do anymore. As far as I'm concerned, just a cover up to a problem prone transmission.

Yes this is my same exact problem. Agian they couldnt make it happen. So service nanager called and asked if i can drive them around. So i did and made the noise, tech heard it also. So they were glad to hear it. Tech says its gonna be hard to find but he will do his best. He did say it is not a mechanical problem but there is a prob.

Same bull**** lies they told me. I bought a set of chassis ears cause they refused to put there's on. Another 220.00$ out of my pocket. When I called them with my finding and said I was coming back I was told there was no need to because they were aware there's a problem
