Default Falken Wildpeak life

I'm 25k miles into a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws 276/65r18 and almost down to the wear bars. They have a 55k mileage warranty, but there's no way they'll even come close.

Has anyone had any similar experiences with the Falken Wildpeaks or did I just get a bad set? I love everything about the tire except that it doesn't last.

Thanks in advance

Just the opposite. I have a set LT275/70/18 with at about 25k now. If I recall they came with 18/32 tread depth. They are down to about 12-13/32 today. Wildpeak are a fairly hard compound so they really shouldn’t wear that fast.

Tire topics like this are common.

OP, your experience is an outlier

I had a set that only lasted 30,000 miles but from everything I read that's not normal. A friend just put them on a 1500 silverado so I'll have to see how his do.

I got 40K out of my first set and am currently at 31K on on my second set. I have about about 4 or 5/32s of tread left.
Looking at the Kenda Klevers AT2 as my next set of tires.

I think you got a bad set. My first set (p265/60R18) went 72,000 miles before I swapped them out. They still had 4/32nds tread left, but they weren’t gripping well in the snow. My 2nd set I was at 40,000 but ended up getting a puncture in the sidewall in a construction zone. Then I put Bilsteins on my truck so I swapped up to the p275/65/R18 and I’m currently at about 30,000 miles on them and still have 10/32nds tread left.

YMMV

Thanks everyone for the replies. I really didn't want to have to hunt for another brand. Unfortunately I can't currently get the 295/70r18 size from the Mavis dealer who will be prorating my current tires for the new purchase. And there seems to be at least a month delay in being able to get the Bilstein 5100s that I want.

I guess I'm not supposed to update them just yet.
