Lol. Yep.

But finding one to take your money is easy!

They are referring to the 2nd pic. The chrome tubular running boards. I agree, my foot has slipped a few times in snow and rain too. But then again, when things are wet aren't they "implied" to potentially slippery? Or should we have a Ford lawyer place a nice big bright yellow sticker on it saying, "possible slip hazard when wet for you stupid people"

Is nobody going to say "It's a truck, if you don't want to slip getting in/out....get a Prius"?

Anyway, I'll probably tape mine up when the weather gets warmer. They can be dangerously slippery in the winter.

Hello! This is my first post and really enjoying the forum. I picked up my 2014 XTR on Valentine's Day and loving every friggin second of it. It is my first truck. My only disappointment are these running boards. After a few days though, I've gotten use to them. I'll usually place my left foot square facing forward and swing my right leg in. Unfortunately it isn't a brainless motion the first little while but it has already become habit.

the running boards on my 2013 Lariat suck *****...
they should be at least an inch further out from the body. an older friend of ours (75+) almost fell off, my wife did a couple times, and I almost ended up on my *** a few times.

Re: lawsuit, if someone can sue Tim Hortons because their coffee or soup was too hot, damn right you could sue Ford if you slip and fall hard because of the running boards!! Would I? No, but I'm sure some would...

Remeber, the lawsuit against mcdonalds for that hot coffee spill. That was over turned 2 years ago. Tim Horton and StarBucks have WON lawsuits like that because as sooner as you hand over the hot beverage all risks go the user. They way they (companies) win now is that they must place the hot beverage down and remove their hands before the customer touches it. Unless you can prove the cup or lid was or is defective, you can win. Those cases all get over turned eventually and the the person loses unless it is settle out of court before a trail occurs
Losing your foot traction in the wet on a running board would be blamed on the user, the weather conditions (act of god) or the footwear the user was using at the time of the accident (slip).
You guys are ridiculous.

It seems the first thing people want to do is start sueing people..... If the factory step doesn't work for you, find an alternative, it really is as easy as that.

These vehicles will always need some type of tweaking, they are mass produced, besides, it gives us the ability to make them "our own".
