I believe this specific recall was for April 2013 - June 2013 build dates.

I have stayed around 18.7, up from 17.9. Seems worth it except for about a week I was in the 20's!

2011 – F150 Eco-Boost with 53,000 miles. The check engine light appeared immediately as I tried to pull onto a freeway pulling a 3000 lbs boat. All of a sudden I had a drastic loss of power followed by a violent shutter. This eco-boost had been slightly shuttering under low RPM high torque loads since the day I bought it, but Ford said that without a warning light they couldn't do anything. Now the warning light comes on and I’m out of warranty. The dealer – Blue Bonnet Ford in New Braunfels, TX states that all repairs and diagnostic fees will be at my cost.

All of this comes on the heels of a failed power steering system 3 weeks ago. I spent a week fighting with Ford to get them to cover the parts, but it cost me 500 to cover the labor. Now I’m starting all over again. I’m beyond frustrated. My F-350 had an ongoing issue with failed fuel injectors, and now this F150 seems to be another UNRELIABLE truck. Don’t buy a truck based solely on appearance. I really think the Ford trucks are the best looking on the road, but my 4 previous Chevrolet's never had a single mechanical issue. That 350 motor is bullet proof.

Why in the world would I buy an extended warranty? Its Ford tuff and reliable, correct??? NOT!

Appreciate the feedback from others. I'll get the PCM flashed this week hopefully.

Hi bigmike67,

I've replied to your posts on other threads; shoot me your info in a PM so I can check out ways to help. Include your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealership name/location; I'll get to work.

I went in for this today. Ive only had my truck a week now but after I picked it up I reset the MPG meter and put about 90 miles on it and was getting 3 MPG better so Im hoping that stays. Still only getting about 15.8, which is the same as the 2011 5.0 I had and the same as my dads 2012 Eco but we both have a pretty heavy foot so I dont expect too much.

I have had my '13 for right at 6 months and havent gotten this done because they wont give me a loaner. They say and hour but I see plenty of people saying 4 hours. I simply do not have 4 hours to sit at the dealership for a 50k truck! Ford Service, anything you can do about this?

Yeah, it took about 4.5 hours for mine. Good thing I brought my computer to get work done because they had TMZ on discussing Miley Cyrus twerking

Give me a shout via PM, DOYAM; I'll see what I can do. In your message, include your name, daytime phone number, mileage, VIN, and servicing dealership info.
