2013 5.0 missing at low rpm
Hey guys just bought a new 2013 Screw 4x4 with the 5.0. It seems to be stuttering or missing at low rpms. Especially when I am accelerating slowly and it is under 1700 rpm. Anyone else experience this or is this normal?

Yes me too absolutely ....I have a 2011 lariat 5.0 55000 miles and this is driving me nuts can't figure it out ..I'm thinking plugs or something to do with ignition?? Maybe a retune or a. Plc flash. Trying to search for this on the site but the Toyota pop-up is messing with my search options

The only time I have experienced anything similar is when the engine is not aloowed to warm up properly first, such as in the morning. If I let it run for like a minute or two I have no issues. I have gotten in the habit of using my remote start as I am getting ready to leave so it's good to go by the time I get in. Ohters have mentioned this is a due to the computer programming by ford to warm up the cats quickly. If yours is doing it after the truck has warmed up then may have a different issue.

PM me your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info. I'll take a look.

Have you taken this to the dealer to get a diagnosis? If you still need help after that, PM me your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info.

Mine usually, but was not limited to, bucked when I first got in it after the engine was cool. The outside temp didn't seem to make a difference at all. It missed then would try to make up for the miss and jolt forward. This link I'm posting is the TSP. They called it "parking lot" maneuver speeds. I took it to a different dealer, they had never heard or scene the TSP but looked it up on their own, did what it said and to this day, 6 months later, it hasn't bucked once.

No mine does it all the time. It is very subtle. Almost like it is in a gear too high and struggling for power. Left it at the dealer over the weekend and they said nothing wrong with it. Helpless feeling when you've got a crappy service dept. at your dealership.

Any update on this, just picked up a used 2011 with the 5.0 and its doing the exact same thing. Noticeable most when under light throttle accelerating up a slight incline. Doesn't matter what gear I'm in or what speed I'm going.

I'm Crystal, the Ford Service rep on this forum. Welcome! Have you had your dealership check this out? How many miles are on your truck?
