Default 2012 f-150 phone sync

I bought a semi used 2012 F-150 back in October and i havent messed with the phone sync until this past weekend, and i couldnt figure out how to get it to work. The manual doesnt really help much. And if it matters, i have a samsung galaxy note 4

Hi Brandon Jones,

Congrats on your purchase! Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/get-started-with-sync/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html?model Let me know, and I'll assist.

When you press the PHONE button, does it say CONNECTING then device not found?

You have to use the arrow to scroll to ADD BLUETOOTH DEVICE. When the car says CONNECTING, it's trying to locate a previous phone that was connected. If that phone isn't there, NO DEVICE FOUND will display. When you select ADD BLUETOOTH DEVICE, choose OK on FIND SYNC; a 6 digit PIN should appear on the screen. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone to locate SYNC then enter the PIN.
