2008 F150 question
This is my first post on this forum, although I belong to many other forums...I have owned many Mustangs along with a couple Cobras, but my dream has been to someday own a Lightning. To finance a 02 Lightning now would not be cost efficient do to the banks only going short term, so I have decided that I'm going to kinda make a Lightning out of an 2008 SXT (I'll be pulling the decal off). I'm going to special order a regular cab, styleside with a 5.4 in her with 3.73s. It will have all the extra's you can get on it except I can't get it in leather. But that's okay. My question to you guys is what kind of mufflers sound kool, but not loud...I'll be dumping twin pipes in front of the rear wheel like the Lightning. Also, what supercharger can you recommend? I saw a Roush in Summitt for $5200 and thought that was pricey. I want the eaton type supercharger like the Lightnings mind you. Last question...I'll need a chip...what do you recommend? With a little work, I can make the truck of my dreams...any other suggestions? Thanks

Welcom aboard. Enjoy the site.
First off, isn't an SXT a "Dodge"? I believe an FX2 would be worthwhile. The "STX" Special Edition can be had with the 5.4 but not with 3.73s. All I see ordered are 3.31 peglegs. The FX2 has fog lamps, nicer interior (but no power seat) keyless entry w/keypad, leather wrap steering wheel, and 18" rims and tires (20s are available with super cab and crew models).
There is also a very limited edition Roush pickup called the Nitemare. Only 100 were made for 2007 and they only came in 1 color-----Black. The is based on the STX special edition and has the 5.4 with 3.73 posi added in. Plus, being a stage 3 copnversion, it has the Roush charger, dual rear exit exhaust and the Roush suspension package, too. Here is one example on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...em330222557135
As for supercharger kits: There's Trilogy, Roush, Saleen, Vortech, Procharger, Magnusson, Kenne-Bell, and Whipple. Even STS makes a rear mounted Turbo for the F150, too.
