Default 2004 Ford f150 - AC leaking?

Hello! I just bought a 2004 Ford f150 4x4, 5.4 v8. Whenever I have the AC on, after a minute I'll look under the truck and there will be a big puddle of what seams to be water. It is leaking from a spot I feel it shouldn't be coming from... When I look under the truck, there is like this silverish/foil insulation that's ripped open b/c of the water, and its leaking from there. Its more on the passenger side of the truck I think, sort of under where the passenger sits. in that area.. I'd love to fix this, I don't want it to turn into something worse later on. It seams pretty harmless but still, I'm bored and would have fun fixing it anyways. Thanks for your help!

Normal condensation. A/C contains R134 gas and refer oil only. Water discharge is on passengers side thru hole in fire wall.

What your seeing is normal, the water dripping is humidity being removed from the passenger cabin. 1st vehicle with a/c you've ever owned?

Haha no, I know its normal for condensation to drip from any vehicle. Its just how it was dripping was odd to me. The fire wall was ripped open (probably from all the water over time) and water was dripping from it. Didn't know that was normal...

Thanks for the responses!

Yep, that's normal.
The foil looking material is actually an insulation wrap. Your a/c and heat pass through the same box where the blower motor is. Fresh air passes over the lines/hoses and pushes the heat/cold into the vent system, turning on the fan speeds up the airflow.

You've had 12 years of temperature changes flow through, it's not surprising the wrap had deteriorated. That's really the only "fix" (if you choose to do so) needed...replacing that wrap. You may or may not notice any difference in cooling or heating by replacing it.

Awesome, thanks a bunch for all the help! Sorry I don't have a phone that's able to take a picture and transfer to the internet :/.. At least not right now. But it looks to be perfectly normal. Thanks again!
