Default 2004 F150 Starter Just "Clicks"-Need Expert Help

Here is my problem: I have a 2004 F150 4x4 5.4 V8 and I cant get the starter to turn. I replaced all the relays and fuses and all I get is a "click" from the starter nose coming out but wont spin. It has a new battery and a new starter.

well it sounds like all the symptoms of a dead battery but since yours is new id say bad connections. or you might have gotten a battery with not enough cranking amps.

You might have a bad cable. Need to do a voltage drop from the B+ POST to the starter and a drop from the B- POST to the block.

Maybe try jumping the solenoid and see if it starts. I'm not real familiar with the 04's but isn't the solenoid on the starter?

The solenoid is on the starter, Im almost positive its not the PATS because when I turn the key the indicator does everything as it should. I can only think that its a bad cable. I was told you can only jump the starter with the anti-theft off which can only be done by a ford programmer. I tried to jump the starter and it just pops out and doesnt spin. I think its a bad ground or a short in the cables.

He posted that the starter was not getting any power. Clicking sounds are classic signs of either low power (bad battery, cables, connections) to the solenoid, or a bad solenoid.
