HI.I am new to this forum.I have a 2007 F150 4x4 and having problems with my IWE system,also.Both wheel bearings and both IWE ends were changed in April 2014.Both IWE's and one front wheel bearing had to be changed again in September 2014 this year.The gears on the bearing were chewed up from the IWE trying to engauge while in 2 wheel drive.I see everyone is having the same problems.I emailed the ford company and also called their 1-800 number and talked to a rep.They say there are no recalls on this problem and are no issues with this problem.I told them to go on YouTube and see what people are saying about their F150's.I think everyone out there on this forum should send some emails their way and complain.My one email is not going to do the trick.I mentioned I would not buy another F150 4x4 until they come up with a more reliable system.If I wanted a 2 wheel drive I would have bought one.One friend just bought a new 2013 last year and his got water into the IWE already.You can't depend on the 4 wheel drive working when you need it.Alot of money for a 4x4 truck that is not there when you need it.

fordman.. my sister just bought a 2007 xlt 5.4.. the vacuum resivoir was split/broken.. its part of the battery tray may want to check it..would work fine till you start to accelerate then you'd here it grind/ loss of vacuum to the iwe's..again -cruising it was fine in 2wd..
